Please ensure that you have read all of the rules in Section 2: Content Policies and Section 3: Character Ownership Etiquette, specifically 3.5 Converting Personal Characters into Stellaborn, Voiding Characters, and Redesigns, as these sections apply to Design Approval.

Starlight Commons [SLC] reserves the right to decline or remove any images, approvals, and Design Approval history at any time, for any reason. All Design Approvals must follow all Starlight Commons [SLC] Rules.

Users may apply any number of Design Approvals to a Stellaborn or Roamkin, provided they have the required items, forms, and anomalies unlocked. It is recommended to check out the informational pages below for more information:

Once a Design Approval is added to a Stellaborn or Roamkin's Masterlist and appears in the Approved Design Tab, it may be used at any time, anywhere in the ARPG. Users may also have multiple Approved Designs and swap between them freely. Once unlocked, approved, and on the Masterlist, no further approval is needed to use that Approved Design.

Example: Seasonal Markings, Simpler Markings, etc.

Designs featured in the Approved Designs tab on the Stellaborn's masterlist cannot be removed; they can only be hidden from public view. Artwork added to the Approved Designs tab may be updated later by opening a ticket at the General Support section of the Service Desk. Approved Designs cannot be deleted from a character, as they permanently belong to the Stellaborn. Users agree to these terms each time they submit art for Design Approval.

Design Approval is subject to specific abuse concerns and, as a result, may carry stricter penalties. See Section 4.2b Removal of Privilege Types Etiquette and Section 4.3d-f Temporary Bans, Permanent Bans, and Full-Account Bans for details on major infractions, bans, and privilege removal.

Starlight Commons reserves the right to remove Design Approval Privileges if users do not follow all of the Starlight Commons [SLC] Rules. Starlight Commons [SLC] considers Design Approval abuse a major infraction, and users may receive a permanent ban from the Design Approval service depending on the intent, content, and severity. To report Design Approval abuse, submit a ticket to the Advanced Support section of the Service Desk.

Examples of Abusing the Design Approval Privileges:
- Using Design Approval to heavily copy, reference, or steal designs from other media. See Section 7.5 Media Inspiration, CBC, Alternate Universes, and Copyright.
- Using Design Approval to heavily copy, reference, or steal designs from users. See Section 5.4a Unauthorized Artwork or Designs in Design Approval below.
- Submitting art to Design Approval for which you do not have permission to use.
- Submitting Design Approval intentionally mimicking someone's style to cause harm. See Section 4.3 Denials, Warnings, Strikes, and Ban Systems.
- Submitting Design Approval with markings that sexualize the design, such as markings resembling mammaries or other genitalia. See Section 2.4 Sensitive Content.

If you are the Original Artist and someone has posted your design without your permission, submit a ticket to the Advanced Support section of the Service Desk under Procedure for Art Removal for the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

If a user has heavily referenced your original designs in Design Approval without your explicit permission, submit a ticket to the Advanced Support section of the Service Desk under Report Users.

After reporting, discontinue all interaction with the user and allow a Moderator to act as your liaison. See Section 4.1 Reporting for more details on the reporting process.

Starlight Commons [SLC] uses temporary and permanent bans from Design Approval to enforce the Starlight Commons [SLC] Rules. See Section 4.2b Removal of Privilege Types Etiquette and Section 4.3d-f Temporary Bans, Permanent Bans, and Full-Account Bans for details on major infractions, bans, and privileges. Users who create new accounts or use others' accounts to bypass Design Approval bans will receive a full account ban. Users who assist with ban evasion may also receive a warning or permanent ban, depending on intent, content, and severity.

Please do not enter agreements to receive characters from other users to submit Design Approval for them. In some cases, this is used to evade bans and avoid account limitations. If another user asks you to submit Design Approval on their behalf, submit a ticket to the Advanced Support section of the Service Desk under Report Users.

Submission Rules:
- Art must remain PG-13.
- Full-body art is required, no busts.
- Art must be colored.
- Each slot can hold up to 2 drawings, such as front and back views, or with and without accessories.
- Art must not be a reference sheet, such as floating headshots, accessories, eyes, or objects.

Permitted Inclusions:
- Bags & Tools.
- Unlocked Forms, Anomalies, or Astral Cores.

Illegal Inclusions:
- Backgrounds of any kind are not allowed.
- Extra Stellians, including Roamkin or Stellaborn, are not permitted.

Starlight Commons [SLC] does not claim ownership of images uploaded by its members. Copyright remains with the Original Artist. Please ensure all artwork is used with permission and properly sourced. If artwork is found to be wrongfully sourced, or if Starlight Commons [SLC] is asked to remove the images, they will be removed without notification. If you have any questions, please contact the Service Desk.

The art community discourages editing commissions without the artist's consent, and we uphold this as best practice. Users should discuss any edits with the original artist first.

Minor edits, such as changing eye color, modifying hair, adding fur, or hue-shifting, are allowed with written consent from the Original Artist.

Extensive edits, including full recolors, tracing, or significant design changes, may be made for personal use, but cannot be posted on Starlight Commons [SLC] or other platforms without permission. These edits must retain the original watermarks in their original location. If users want these changes featured on the Starlight Commons [SLC] masterlist, you must request or commission the Original Artist to make them.
