Magic
The magic that runs and powers all of Kunvadis is a mixture of several different kinds and strengths that every Stellaborn has the chance to perform and learn, though some may have more power in one than another. There are several different courses available to further hone the magic one possesses, held in the Mythic Courses at Quasar Academy. Once they have trained in their respective magic(s), it can be used to assist them using Spells in different tasks that are available.
Though it can vary, trained magic users of Kunvadis are called Mytirs (My-trrs). This can be specified further if they wish to by their gender identity, with Mystiques (Miss-teeks) for feminines, and Mythics (Myth-icks) for masculines.
There are four major types of magic: Elemental, Radiated, Light, and Dark. Each of these classifications are used daily in the world of Kunvadis, though some may be more frowned upon or inspiring than others depending on where you are and what you specify in.
A single Mytir can master one type of magic via the completion of Mythic Courses, though some Stellaborn may have additional basic knowledge depending on their natural affinities.
Magic Types | ||
---|---|---|
Elemental Magic | Elemental Magic is the most basic of all magic, giving the Stellaborn the ability to wield spells and magic in Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. Usually the Stellaborn who decide to focus on Elemental Magic as their chosen path become an all-around help to those who need it, even though their magic may not be as powerful as its sister groups. When a Mytir spends the extensive amount of time to understand and perfect their abilities in each of the elements, they become Elemyths that are wildly sought after all over Stellagos. Out of all of the magic types, Elemental Magic is the easiest to learn and understand the basics for. If they decide to further their knowledge beyond what is taught, a professor from the Quasar Academy may train a protégé in Mythic Courses. |
|
Radiated Magic | Radiated Magic is a very odd yet specially required magic that gains more knowledge than actual magical ability, making it the most physical magic of all of the magic types. When a Stellaborn decides to focus on Radiated Magic, they are usually more interested in being able to mix together potions and create physical magic that they can use to help (or hinder) others, or to help give magical life to a usually inanimate object. When a Mytir becomes a master in Radiated Magic, they are then called Radimyths and respected for their time spent on learning a difficult magic that requires both physical and mental knowledge. Though Radiated Magic is harder to learn than Elemental Magic, it is still less difficult than the other magics available. If they decide to further their knowledge beyond what is taught at Quasar Academy, they often have to go searching for the elusive Radiated Magic professors to ask for training in Mythic Courses. |
|
Light Magic | Light Magic is one of the most revered magics available that nearly everyone instantly respects even if the Stellaborn is only a student still learning the ways of Light Magic. This is because of the abilities and Spells that Light Magic houses for the Mytirs who practice for them, as they are able to help heal any Stellaborn no matter how ill nor injured they are. The training to become a Light Magic Mytir is one of the most difficult roads that only a few Stellaborn would be interested to take on such a long road of training and classes. Though when a Mytir takes the time to study and work hard on this magic type to master it, they are then titled as Lightmyths. Despite being rather difficult to master, Light Magic is only trumped in difficulty by its near twin, Dark Magic. Though it is difficult to bring Light Magic past the point of mastery, the determined can do so under the guidance of a professor from Quasar Academy in Mythic Courses. |

Dark Magic | Dark Magic, although accepted in some places, is often turned away in most for those who decide to follow down its blackened path. There is only a few documented masters in Dark Magic that have gone even past mastery, though the one most well-known for it has now disappeared because of her ill-use of its power. Whenever Dark Magic is taught at the academy, it is often heavily restricted to limited Spells that while strong, are not overpowering. Officially, the only things taught are basic shadow and necromantic dark magic that can be useful in certain situations or scenarios. However anything beyond that is locked away, or disappeared alongside the missing Mystique. Mytir's who decide to master Dark Magic are referred to as Darkmyths, and often strike fear in those they meet who know their mastery. As the hardest magic type to master, it is the most difficult to find a Dark Magic professor that is willing to teach anything beyond its mastery level. Though these elite exist, Darkmyths often have to look beyond the walls of Quasar Academy to find their version of Mythic Courses. |
