Anomalies

Through Anomalies, creatures on Kunvadis have been able to diversify themselves with different traits and appearances beyond their original genetic blueprints.

After the creation of The First, the following generations of Astrali began to form with abnormalities that differed from their predecessors. They began to call these changes anomalies, with several researchers taking notes of the changes between them.

Though some of the remaining First have decided to garner some of their own anomalies through specific anomaly-generating items, some have kept their original qualities with no desire to change them.

Years of research in Starhaven has led their scientists to separate the types of anomalies into four groups: Electric Anomalies, Chemical Anomalies, Soma Anomalies, and the Chromatic Anomaly.

Fuseberry Electric Anomalies encompass different kinds of mechanical or charged anomalies that seem to derive from the Artificial Astrali's creator, Odum. Though it has not been discovered on how newly formed non-Artificial Astrali garner these anomalies, researchers and tinkerers in Chromena have developed a metallic plant called Wired Vines that grows Fuseberries. Consumption of a Fuseberry allows any creature to develop any electric anomaly they desire.

The following electric anomalies have been discovered, though looks may vary depending on the creature's desire:

Electric Anomaly Examples
Asteroid Remnant Anomaly Example
Asteroid Remnants
The growth of mineral deposits.
Cirri Anomaly Example
Cirri
The growth of tendrils.
Exposed Core Anomaly Example
Exposed Core
Extra windows into their core.
Glow Anomaly Example
Glow
The ability to glow.
Object Magnet Anomaly Example
Object Magnet
Items attach to the body.
Optic Variation Anomaly Example
Optic Variation
Any eye changes.
Robotic Enhancement Anomaly Example
Robotic Enhancements
Robotic parts (Prosthetics are free without this anomaly).
Extension Anomaly Example
Extension
Allows for limbs to be longer than usual.

Vionic Chemical Anomalies are often some of the most extreme anomalies to develop, considering they often mess with things other than only the genetic code of a creature. Vionic was developed by a now-disappeared mystique to allow any creature who consumes the elixir to gain any chemical anomaly they desire. The creation history of Vionic has vanished alongside its creator, though her instructions for the liquid were found around the time of her disappearance, allowing salesfolk to continue to produce and sell it.

The following chemical anomalies have been discovered, though looks may vary depending on the creature's desire:

Chemical Anomaly Examples
Exposed Bone Anomaly Example
Exposed Bone
Bone is exposed.
Fabric Skin Anomaly Example
Fabric Skin
The skin gains fabric textures.
Magical Excess Anomaly Example
Magical Excess
Magic flows around constantly.
Melting Point Anomaly Example
Melting Point
Skin looks gooey.
Multiple Limbs Anomaly Example
Multiple Limbs
All limbs can gain duplicates.
Plant Overgrowth Anomaly Example
Plant Overgrowth
The growth of flora.
Scaled Skin Anomaly Example
Scaled Skin
The skin grows scales.
Gorgon's Curse Anomaly Example
Gorgon's Curse
Bottom half of the body becomes like a serpent.

Somapri Soma Anomalies cover any anomaly that directly changes the physical body of the creature it affects. These are some of the most common anomalies found on all life stages of creatures, especially the fruit that spawns soma anomalies grows all over Stellagos. Named Somapri, these apricot-looking fruit grow on trees all throughout the continent.

The following soma anomalies have been discovered, though looks may vary depending on the creature's desire:

Soma Anomaly Examples
Alternate Tail Anomaly Example
Alternate Tail
A tail different than default.
Feather Growth Anomaly Example
Feather Growth
The growth of feathers.
Fins Anomaly Example
Fins
The growth of fins.
Keratin Spurs Anomaly Example
Keratin Spurs
The growth of spikes/horns/keratin.
Maws Anomaly Example
Maws
Any mouth/teeth/tongue changes.
Thick Coat Anomaly Example
Thick Coat
Any thicker or longer coat beyond natural.
Wings Anomaly Example
Wings
The addition of wings of any kind.
Limb Swap Anomaly Example
Limb Swap
Allows the hands/feet to be swapped with other species. (Artificial Exceptions)*

Some anomalies can only effect certain parts of different species. For the Limb Swap Soma anomaly, the bottom limbs of any other Stellaborn can not be swapped with an Artificial Astrali's due to the conflict of the Robotic Enhancement anomaly.

Besides the anomaly items listed above, researchers and bakers have combined their efforts to make treat items that allow Stellaborn or Roamkin to change their appearance!

Chromatic Anomalies
Chromaroon
Chromaroon
Allows a Stellaborn to change their colors and/or overall look at will.
Spectreat
Spectreat
Allows a Roamkin to change their colors and/or overall look at will.
