Nestled in the resource-rich Mineral Expanse, Chromena has become a hub of inspiring magical technology and advancements that aim for the best future the citizens of Stellagos can have. From the Obsidiheim Mines to the heart of the city, Chromena is a widespread network of hard-working Stellaborn.
Chromena is also the main fall center for all Artificial Astrali, being built specifically for their uses and growth. Since Artificials are different than their 'natural' counterparts, they often turn to minerals for their health and care instead of the lush grasses or wildlife that often is enough to sustain any other Astrali, making Chromena a perfect hub for the utmost care an Artificial should ever need.
History
Early Years
Once Odum's Hunt completed and Brutus Odumborn finished assisting Hypselle Aster in her efforts to rebuild what his arrival had destroyed, he knew that he had to create a place where the Artificial Astrali could thrive. Tensions between the subspecies were at an all time high as more and more of his kind fell to join him, piecing together a recipe that would end in more tragedy if Brutus allowed it to continue.
With a farewell to The First who he had become close with, the First Artifical led a group mainly made of Artificial Astrali and a few others to the mineral rich lands just southwest of Starhaven. Once finding a place that seemed to have everything anyone could ever need (with the minerals and resources for Artificial Astrali being the biggest boon), he started laying the brickwork of the beginnings of the major city.
As work continued, Brutus Odumborn disappeared without any further instruction on how his city should be built beyond the one building he had completed himself. It was built with stone and sharp angles with large windows, though there was no longer anyone who would look at them.
Despite this, the Artificial Astrali that he had led to this place continued his work, and completed construction in 17 AL with the title of their home being Chromena for the chrome-looking rocks that dotted the mineral plains.
Notable Locations
The Odumborn's Hut
As a small building that resides just beside the great hall lies the upkept remains of where Brutus Odumborn was last sighted. The home itself is filled with cobwebs and forgotten memories, though no one dares to explore what he left behind due to the rumor surrounding his disappearance.
Older Astrali still stop by the hut to pay their respects to their First wherever he may be, and have created a tradition with the younger generations to keep the outside of his home clean and well taken care of should he ever return to their flourishing home.
