Every Stellaborn is comprised of two essential components that the Goddesses form together with their magic to give them form before they are sent to Kunvadis to begin their waking lives.

This Astral Core is considered their essential life force and the center of their being. Each Astral Core is formed from a condensed star cluster who's gravitational force upon forming created a nearly indestructible container around its self, which Astrali researchers have come to call 'star glass'.

Though most of the time the Goddessess will take an Astral Core in its newly formed clusters, sometimes they will fall down to Kunvadis as Raw Astral Cores. Though it is unexplained on why the Goddessess choose not to give life to every cluster, researchers in Starhaven theorize that a star cluster can sometimes form its star glass prematurely, creating an Astral Core that is not strong enough to become an Stellaborn.

The Astral Nebulus Core is the one core that does not show in any Stellaborn nor is it a viable core, as this core is the ethereal 'soul' of a Stellaborn before Iphion hands it to her siblings to allow them to add in their authentic core and life. It is believed that these 'soul cores' are a piece of Iphion herself that she gifts to every Stellaborn, although it is never physically seen. A raw version of this core has only been found once in the entire history of Stellagos, and it is held to this day by Hypselle Aster. The explanation of this lost soul core with no home does not exist.

Most Raw Astral Cores will fall to Kunvadis's surface during special meteoric events called Clusterfall, and are often collected for use in furthering the abilities of a Stellaborn. Coresmiths can turn Raw Astral Cores into a vial of chronovelour, which can help alter an Stellaborn's magical ability.

Astral Cores
Astral Light Core		The Astral Light Core is the most common type of Astral Core found in a Stellaborn, giving them their ability to practice magic. Though the Light Core does not give any special magical ability or enhancement on a specific magical class, it is the starting level needed for them to perform the basic Magics. An Astral Light Core gives a +5 level bonus to the Agility (AGI) Attribute.
Astral Burning Core		The Astral Burning Core is formed when a star cluster begins to run out of hydrogen during the Core creation process, only being saved by the star glass that kept it from completely collapsing. When a Stellaborn has an Astral Burning Core, their destructive fire Magic is a lot more potent than other Astral Cores. An Astral Burning Core gives a +5 level bonus to the Strength (STR) Attribute.
Astral Radiation Core		The Astral Radiation Core is formed when a star cluster endures a radioactive event, much like when Ovphion's Ribbons grace the atmosphere. Stellaborn with an Astral Radiation Core are often found in the apothecary fields, since their Radiation Core grants them strong magical abilities and resistances with poisonous and dangerous materials that are often deadly. An Astral Radiation Core gives a +5 level bonus to the Defense (DEF) Attribute.
Astral Grim Core		The Astral Grim Core is one of the strongest and strangest cores that has been discovered, due to its destructive forming. On the cusp of complete destruction that would turn a starlight cluster into a miniature black hole, its star glass forms around it, stopping it in the starry blackness of grim. Stellaborn with the Astral Grim Core are given great power in the dark and necromantic Magics. An Astral Grim Core gives a +5 level bonus to the Intelligence (INT) Attribute.
Astral Brilliance Core		Born from freshly formed stars that immediately found their cluster, the Raw Astral Brilliance Cores are full of wild magic still finding their purpose. If a Stellaborn has a Brilliance Core their Magic can occasionally have wild bursts of strength, but their constant hum of power contributes to their ability to heal and nurture. An Astral Brilliance Core gives a +5 level bonus to the Charisma (CHA) Attribute.
Astral Energy Core		The Astral Energy Core is one of the strangest cores to be found, considering its multi-purpose abilities. While most other Astral Cores have some sort of specialization in either the magic or the abilities it grants to its Stellaborn, the Astral Energy Core seems to give minor knowledge of all magic types. Its color is usually orange, but can range to yellow. An Astral Energy Core gives a +1 level bonus to ALL Attributes.

Either by the Goddesses blessing or the ingestion of chronovelour, a Stellaborn can have multiple cores in their system. These combinations allow them to gain natural advantages with the more difficult magics, while also giving them a sense of pride to show off the colors inhabiting their Astral Cores.

These combined Astral Cores can not be found during Clusterfall events.

Combined Astral Cores Examples
Astral Vortex Core		An Astral Vortex Core is the combination of the Astral Grim and the Astral Brilliance Cores. Bringing the beginning and the end together in a single swirling mixture of black and white, Stellaborn with the Vortex Core get mixed reactions of being seen as blessed or cursed. They gain boons in dark magic, necromancy, healing, and wild Magic.
Astral Aurora Core		Astral Aurora Cores are the combination of every core other than the Astral Grim or Brilliance Cores. Stellaborn with this combination of cores are often seen as masters in every magical craft, and often become professors or teachers of their magic to those still learning the basics. This core grants boons in poison, fire, and general Magic potency and ability.
Astral Multi-Core		If a Stellaborn has an Astral Multi-Core, they are a master in all kinds of magics and often revered by others. To be able to hold and master each of the core's magic ability is a difficult and treacherous path that only few get to call their own. The Astral Multi-Core gives boons to every Magic an Astrali can perform, ensuring them the highest honors and respect.
