Starlight Commons

Welcome to the Starlight Commons Mission Statement, where here we will provide short statements on our purpose, identify the scope of our operations, our services and products, primary market, and geographical region of operation. We may also have short statements of fundamental matters and values, or our desired future “vision”.

Everyone thirteen (13) or older is welcome in the Starlight Common spaces.

Starlight Commons is an Art Roleplaying Game (ARPG) that spans over an entirely unique and original planet, complete with an extensive backstory, unique species, and developed lore that allows for an immersive experience that a player can lose themselves in.

Starlight Commons purpose is to create and nurture an art-based community where users can roleplay, develop character relationships, and draw with the minimal amount of limits possible while keeping the ARPG fair and fun for everyone who enjoys its spaces. Our goal is to create an environment where story and comradery take precedence, and a place where everyone can feel safe and respected.

Starlight Commons strives to have a community that loves the world as much as its creators, enjoys working together, and treats everyone with kindness. We wish to create a place where happiness and creativity thrive, and we encourage equality, helpfulness, humility, inspiration, friendship, and positive development. Transparency and positivity is what the Starlight Commons team want to foster, while also being open to suggestions and critiques while remaining true to our goals and Mission Statement.

Starlight Commons does not believe in the separation of users based on age, skill, or any other skill or attribute they may possess, striving to create systems that give everyone a similar chance. Judgement on one's art is not something we want to allow in our spaces, creating a community where no one feels judged or discriminated against by what they make for the group.

At the end of the beta phase of the Starlight Commons ARPG, we are aiming to have a fully functional ARPG experience that expands into a game that can be replayed again and again, with regular events and unique experiences that always spark new creativity and imagination to life, alongside new species and companions. Creating a world where it feels like there are no 'unused' spaces and feels alive is a goal we hope to achieve.

Starlight Commons is proud of its extensive ARPG and deep lore, however we do not expect nor enforce that a member has to use any character they buy. There is no necessity to be 'active' or to participate, as we will always be creating new characters for new and old users to buy to either collect, participate, or silently enjoy without public activity. We support for the freedom for any member to use the character as they want or however they want to take part in Starlight Commons, if at all. Whether you are someone who wants to grind out everything in a short period of time, take years to create a story and a timeline, or just enjoy the design you've received, Starlight Commons supports everyone. Even though some tasks may have deadlines, most are available at any time of the year should someone decide to partake. Play style is what YOU want to do, not something we regulate.

This also pertains to if you want to change how you may interpret a piece of lore, their ages, sizes, personalities, or relationships to NPCs or the world Starlight Commons has created. Though it is written as a guideline and is considered 'cannon', there are no restrictions to what your characters could decide or change should they so see fit. Your stories and your imagination take the forefront over what is created here, as the characters are for YOU to enjoy as you wish.

Starlight Commons is a place created with no particular play style, character ownership regulations, or tight restrictions in mind. It is a place where you and your imagination are welcome to run free with the ideas that we have put together and placed out there for you, and is a place where you can feel comfortable and welcomed. There is no requirement for participation in the ARPG if you do not wish it. There is only a place in Starlight Commons for anyone and everyone from any and all walks of life, and the creators of Starlight Commons are fiercely dedicated to this belief. We will always support and cheer on any who come to this community to draw and let their creativity flourish, and will welcome anyone back with open arms if they decided to take a break, no matter how long.
