“Whether you've just adopted or found your own Roamkin, you need to complete your bond to start having them help you out on your daily adventures!”

There's no item requirement for a bond, just a desire to have that bond with a companion. Make sure to read the Roamkin Pamphlet to avoid bonding with too many of one species.
