2nd Anniversary Announcements

Happy 2nd Anniversary to Starlight Commons! Thank you all so much for all of your love, support, and excitement over the last two years. This adventure has only just started, and I am so excited for it to continue!

This announcement includes some large updates to the Wiki, as well as some additions to the game and the launch of the anniversary event.

To start, a Getting Started Guide has been added for new users. This guide focuses on the most critical parts of early gameplay and Starlight Commons as a whole.

With organization and clarity in mind, we have been reorganizing and consolidating our Rules and creating Guides. As of this announcement, all of the guides have been completed, minus some additional examples that will be finished at a later date. With the addition of these new guides, redundant rule pages have been removed or absorbed into relevant sections:

Art Rules → Split into relevant Guides
Activity Rules → Moved directly into the Task and Activities Guides
Anomalies → Reorganized to contain specific information and subpages for each Anomaly

This project also introduces our newest NPC Fable, who is used as the example for each topic in the guides. More assets of Fable will be completed at a later date to demonstrate certain sections of the guides further. A special thank you to Sindonic for helping me with her design creation, ensuring that it was simple and easily repeatable!

As species grow and time goes on, it’s always important to keep the rules updated and easily understandable. In addition to the Guide Hub, the Rules for Starlight Commons have gotten a complete overhaul in hopes of achieving easier understandability and clearer direction.
The purpose of this update was to remove outdated information, refine existing sections, and to add extra context where needed. Our goal is to make the rules clearer and more helpful than ever, while also ensuring that users have a reliable place to reference.

Consider this update a major overhaul in both look and clarity of the Rules. Please see the Condensed Changelog below for more specific information on changes and additions.

Say hello to the newest edition of the Wiki, now complete with clickable images for easy navigation! In an effort to make the Wiki easier to traverse and understand, and thanks to the ever-growing learning process of growth, all of the links to specific sections of the webpage are now via images rather than finding the correct text.

In addition to the reformatting of pages to include this new navigation technique, our tasks system is now noted with game symbols for quick and simple recognition of requirements:

✪ = Costs Star Tokens
☆ = Task/Prompt
✦ = Special Rules or Bonus Event Rewards

If no icon is shown, that means it does not require any of the above task or activity symbols.

As well, all relevant information pages now have anchors that can be easily referred to and linked throughout the entirety of the Wiki, which should help easily link to specific sections for rules and clarity.

Briefly touched on in the Rules and Guides Update section of this announcement was the complete overhaul of the Anomalies page. The artwork on this page has been completely redone to better display the new rules and updates for Anomalies, specifically the Free Color sections of an Anomaly that require no design approval. It also further describes each Anomaly on its own page.

In the future, Fable will display each Anomaly in several different ways to show off examples of what can be done with each. This is a large project, and will be completed over time. When the entire project has been completed, it will be announced as soon as possible.

Celebrate the anniversary in Tynogeum with Queen Batea! In summer, they celebrate the Vadi Edall, and for the first time they are inviting everyone from Stellagos to enjoy it with them.

The Wishing Well now has its own dedicated page that is easier to update and understand for all future events. It also includes its own dedicated lore on this page, as well as a few functionality updates:
- Wish Tokens no longer expire, but they can only be used when an event is active.
- Trophies from past events can now be acquired in the Wishing Well.
- Newly released Collectibles can also be acquired through the Wishing Well immediately.

When putting together this year’s anniversary event, I realized that a large conflict for our anniversary is ArtFight. ArtFight is a wonderful event that many people like to take part in; however, its conflict with the anniversary means that event entries are difficult to do at the same time. This realization made me rethink the current Clusterfall schedule to allow for the yearly anniversary event to run longer and beyond July.

Before this announcement, Clusterfall was set to take place every April and August. Due to the conflict of scheduling with the anniversary event, now taking place throughout August, it would mean two events would be running at once.

To remedy this, Clusterfall will now occur every April and September from this announcement on.

In addition to celebrating Edall, it has been announced that the Onyx Coliseum will be opening its gates to participants after the end of the Edallion Festival. This new bi-weekly activity will launch on September 1st and will include the beginning of contesting rolls using Character Attributes.

Only those who have completed their Battle Expedition can participate in the Onyx Coliseum, which will have a rotating list of combatants and higher rarity rewards regularly. More information on its rules and entry will be released when it goes live.
