Every Astrali is comprised of two essential components that the Goddesses form together with their magic to give them form before they are sent to Kunvadis to begin their waking lives.

This Astral Core is considered their essential life force and the center of their being. Each Astral Core is formed from a condensed star cluster who's gravitational force upon forming created a nearly indestructible container around its self, which Astrali researchers have come to call 'star glass'.

Though most of the time the Goddessess will take an Astral Core in its newly formed clusters, sometimes they will fall down to Kunvadis as Raw Astral Cores. Though it is unexplained on why the Goddessess choose not to give life to every cluster, researchers in Starhaven theorize that a star cluster can sometimes form its star glass prematurely, creating an Astral Core that is not strong enough to become an Astrali.

Raw Astral Cores will fall to Kunvadis's surface during special meteoric events called the Clusterfall, and are often collected for use in furthering the magical abilities of Astrali.

Coresmiths can turn Raw Astral Cores into a vial of chronovelour, which can help alter an Astrali's magical ability.

Astral Cores
Astral Light Core		The Astral Light Core is the most common type of Astral Core found in Astrali, giving them their ability to practice magic. Though the Light Core does not give any special magical ability or enhancement on a specific magical class, it is the starting level needed for them to perform the basic magics.
Astral Burning Core		The Astral Burning Core is formed when a star cluster begins to run out of hydrogen during the Core creation process, only being saved by the star glass that kept it from completely collapsing. When an Astrali has an Astral Burning Core, their destructive fire magic is a lot more potent than other Astral Cores.
Astral Radiation Core		The Astral Radiation Core is formed when a star cluster endures a radioactive event, much like when Ovphion's Ribbons grace the atmosphere. Astrali with an Astral Radiation Core are often found in the apothecary fields, since their Radiation Core grants them strong magical abilities and resistances with poisonous and dangerous materials that are often deadly.
Astral Grim Core		The Astral Grim Core is one of the strongest and strangest cores that has been discovered, due to its destructive forming. On the cusp of complete destruction that would turn a starlight cluster into a miniature black hole, its star glass forms around it, stopping it in the starry blackness of grim. Astrali with the Astral Grim Core are given great power in the dark and necromantic magics.
Astral Brilliance Core		Born from freshly formed stars that immediately found their cluster, the Raw Astral Brilliance Cores are full of wild magic still finding their purpose. If an Astrali has a Brilliance Core their magic can occasionally have wild bursts of strength, but their constant hum of power contributes to their ability to heal and nurture.

Either by the Goddesses blessing or the ingestion of chronovelour, an Astrali can have multiple cores in their system. These combinations allow them to gain natural advantages with the more difficult magics, while also giving them a sense of pride to show off the colors inhabiting their Astral Cores.
