Very little can thrive in the drought-cursed town of Scorchaven, though it has become a perfect place for the Clovun [[Astrali]] to adapt and adjust to the harsh climate without worry of too many predators. For a city it feels more like a small town where everybody knows everybody, and the homes themselves are built from the grit and integrity of their families.

The main task of the town is to take care of the Croymar Resevoir, since it is vital to the prolonged survival of all the denizens of The Burnt Prairie. Scorchaven is often visited for its unique commerce and easy access to the water, though some visit to see the determination of the Clovun [[Astrali]].

====Early Years====

After [[Odum's Hunt]], most of the [[Astrali]] hailing from First Landing dispersed to healthier pieces of land to inhabit. However some stubborn [[Astrali]] refused to leave their home even after the destruction, and decided to move somewhere farther inland to try and start over the legacy that had been freshly destroyed. {{ scorchaven.png?175|Scorchaven Flag Image}}

Using what straw and clay they could find and mix, the first huts of Scorchaven went up within a month of the destruction that had so recently devastated the land. Despite being the first to have homes built, Scorchaven didn't become recognized as an actual city until several more generations of Clovun [[Astrali]] began to inhabit its difficult home. 

It became officially recognized as the city of Scorchaven in 8 AL.
